Fight For Friendship
Chapter 4

When I got home that day, my mom presented me with a big surprise.

"Lizzy, we got a flight to Texas on Saturday. We're going to visit your friend and we have an extra ticket, so you can bring another friend if you want."

"Alright, Mother." She flashed me a big smile and left the room.

I reached for the phone, but then stopped. Who was I going to call? Megan had been my friend for so long, but since I just met Aaron I really wanted to spend more time with him. However, he didn't actually do anything to help me. Megan had been there through all my sad times, comforting me. It would be rude not to invite her. I slowly dialed her number and asked if she could come.

"I'm so sorry. My family was planning on spending time together that weekend. Were going on a mini-vacation and my parents spent a lot of time planning."

"Oh, its okay." I responded. It really was OK. I was actually pretty relieved.

"Sorry. She said again.

Hey, its not your fault."

After we hung up, I pulled out the phone book. I didnt really expect there to be that many Carters in Tampa. I had to call each number to find Aaron. It was actually surprising that his parents let him come considering they didnt even know me. I know my parents wouldve never let me go on a two-day trip with complete strangers. Later my mom came back up to the room.

"So, who's coming with us?" she asked. Jeez, nobody even says hi to me anymore.

Aaron I replied flatly. Mom gave a look of huge disappointment.

"What about Megan? And who is Erin?"

"She couldnt come. She was spending time with her family."

Mom seemed to cheer up a bit. She also thought Aaron was a girl. I know she wouldnt me hanging out with a boy the whole trip. She didnt trust me. I had to word what I said carefully so I wouldnt be lying, but still get away with bringing Aaron along.

"Aaron is new at school. They're my new friend."
