Avril seems to think skaters are hot. She's said it several times. I guess she thinks it will impress them if she says she's a skater too.
She told YM magazine that she was a good skateboarder. While I was watching "pop-up videos." It has a pop-up that said Avril's best trick was an ollie. For those people out there, who aren't really into skateboarding, an ollie is simply a jump needed to do any other tricks. In an interview for MTV, she said that the director of the video for "Complicated" wanted her to skate in it. She objected b/c she said she sucks.
